2022 Spring / Summer Happenings

Spring Conditioning
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30 PM starting May 3rd.  We’ll meet at the Fieldhouse each day.

Summer Open Gyms
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11:30 AM starting May 31. We’ll meet in the Fieldhouse and need everything set up by 9 AM. Exception for times will be June 14th and 16th (1 PM to 3 PM) and the week of July 18th (team camp). No Open Gyms the LAST WEEK of July.

Youth Camp: June 6th-10th
9-10:30 AM (2nd-4th graders), 11 AM-12:30 PM (5th-6th grade and intermediate 7th and 8th grade), 1-3 PM (advanced 7th– 8th grade and incoming freshman).  All prospective players will need to work at least one camp time slot. 

Team Camp: July 18th-22nd
9 AM to Noon and 1 to 3 PM.  Strongly recommended to be here for this.

Moratorium Week: July 3rd-9th
No open gyms, weights or conditioning are allowed.

August 1st and 2nd after school.  Practices will begin immediately after.


2022-23 IHSAA Physical Information

Pre-Participation Physicals Registration for 2022-2023

In an effort to help prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, Hendricks Regional Health has set up physical days to provide high quality, low-cost pre-participation physical exams. Students MUST have a physical on file dated after April 1st, 2022 before being allowed to participate in summer activities starting June 1, 2022.

A portion of the physical fee goes back to support your school.


Masks must be worn within the HRH buildings. Additional dates will be available in at HRH Hendricks County Locations.

Who: All 2022-2023 middle school & high school students from partnering schools needing a pre-participation physical


  • Sunday, April 10th at HRH Brownsburg Hospital {Enter through Physical Therapy}
  • Sunday, April 24th at HRH Danville Hospital {Enter through West Entrance}
  • Sunday, May 15th at HRH Brownsburg Medical Center {Enter through Main Entrance}

How to Schedule an Appointment Arrival Time:

Cost: $22.00 (To be paid online when appointment time is scheduled)

What to Bring: Physical Form – Completed Printed Paper Copy of the IHSAA Pre-Participation History Form

Plan to arrive at the appointment time. No early admittance or walk ups will be permitted.

The complete physical exam will take approximately one hour.


NCAA / NAIA Eligibility Information

The eligibility of Avon student-athletes for competition in collegiate athletics is a joint effort of the student-athletes/parents, coaches, Athletic Department, and Guidance Department.

In order to be eligible to play Division I or II college sports, students must meet certain academic standards in core course completion, maintain a minimum GPA in core classes, and achieve a minimum SAT/ACT score. Students need to find the best academic and athletic fit!
